Jen Callahan Artwork Paper Print
Jen's artistic talent has been nurtured since she was a young child. Her mom was a studio watercolor artist, who introduced her to the arts in grade school.
As a teen, she was in the Gifted Art Program as well as a College Scholarship program for high school students. In 2000 she earned a degree in applied science which focused on graphic and CIS web design. From 2000 to 2007 she continued her studies with the arts as well as opened a studio to sell, display, and teach art to children at Liberty Town Fine Arts Center in Fredericksburg, Virginia.
In 2007 she closed her studio and started displaying her paintings at indoor and outdoor art festivals. She enjoys the thrill of showing her work in new exciting places and currently show at festivals year-round. She works from her new custom home studio in North Port, Florida.
She uses water-based paints and likes to combine her painting technique between watercolor and acrylics as well as experiment with different painting surfaces and styles. Her emotions come out with each painting and she tends to use colors that make her happy. Sometimes she disregards what is presented in real life and expresses it in a different way. Art is a way for her to share her personality with someone as they look at her paintings. One of art's rewards is knowing that others get joy from viewing her artwork.
